12 month pictures cont....

We got our prints today and the CD. Here are just a few of Brooks' twelve month pictures.

A visit to Gardiner's Village.

We went to Gardiner's Village last weekend with Kyle, Erin, Mary and Jack in hopes of visiting the petting zoo. Well, they didn't have it open yet due to the weather we were having a few weeks ago. But we all still had a great time walking around and visiting the shops. I am loving that Jack and Brooks are now getting to the stage where they are the same size. They are so much fun! Now that Jack is walking we are all going to have our hands full :)

The face...

This is Brooks new face he is making lately. It's so funny. He does this for everything now... food is hot and need to blow on it (with an oooo sound)... see something cool (pointing and oooo sound). It cracks us up. Of course once we start laughing then it's all about being funny :)

Just a walkin

Brooks has been pulling himself up on furniture and such since about seven months... He has been cruzing by himself since. As long as he was holding on to something he walked. But the minute he let go, it was down on his rump. About a month ago we started coaxing him to take a few steps with out holding on to anything. He mostly thought this was a fun game because after a few steps he would fall into our waiting arms. Then one day about two weeks ago he stood up in the middle of the room and took off walking. He has not stopped. I'm still blown away how fast it happened. I guess he just decided he was done with crawling.

Easter

Pat and I are SOO bad at taking pictures lately. I can't believe it! We didn't get any of Brooks and his cake at his b-day party. And then I really wanted to get him and his cousin Alex in there cute Easter outfits and we didn't do that either :S. We had a really fun weekend. Friday we went to lunch with Pat's parents for my Birthday. Then we went to the Art Festival with my Mom, Jenny and Hailey. The weather was so nice, and we had a really good time checking out all the booths. I use to buy something every year at the art festival. But I decided to keep my birthday money for thing we need for the apartment. Then Pat treated me to a cup cake at 25 Main cafe. It's this new little cafe on Main street. If you haven't been you should go. There cupcakes are to die for!! After that we had a really fun family BBQ with my family to celebrate the four b-days in April. Me, my two nieces (Kelly's daughters) and my sis-in-law. We had a great time and yes you guessed it... absolutely no pictures!
Saturday we spent with Pat's family and had a pre-Easter party. We drove home on Sunday so we decided to Celebrate Easter on Saturday. We had a really good lunch and then had DELICIOUS home made ice cream. It was so gooooood, I forgot how good home made is. We had a really fun and warm weathered weekend! Here are some of the few pics we actually took.

12 Month pictures

So I gave in and took Brooks to Sears for his one year portraits. They actually did a pretty good job. I was pleasantly surprised that almost every one turned out cute. Brooks is cutting his molars and is constantly not feeling good. But he was an angel. Unfortunately I am not smart enough to figure out how I can post the pictures off of the Sears website... anyone wanna help me?

Blisters and Forts

On Monday I left my strait iron on and left for work, when Brooks and Pat got up... Brooks went exploring in the bath room and pulled it off the counter. And yes burned the crap out of his poor little hand. When Pat told me I felt so sick. Poor Pat, he said his screaming and crying were the saddest thing he's ever heard. So his thumb, pinkie and ring finger all blistered up. The blisters were HUGE. I tried to get a picture, but it's not great.

Saturday morning while we were taking a break from unpacking... I came into the living room and saw this...

Brooks brings out the kid in his dad. I love how much they love to play together. Brooks and I are very lucky :)
