This is our new nephew Jack and some pictures I took for Erin over the weekend. He is so stinkin cute. I can't believe how little they are bran new. We love you guys!

First Official Family Pictures & What's new...

I know this is terribly sad... but these really are our first family pictures. I can't believe I already have a four month old.




New Development - Our daycare plan hasn't really worked out so I am officially staying home to take care of B. I'm still looking and hoping to find something I can do to bring in some income. So if anyone is thinking of having some family pictures taken, or wanting some portraits of their kids I would love to do them. I just recently got a better photo shop program so I am able to do a lot more with my photos. I just charge for my time, not the printing. It's cheaper then going to a portrait studio. Help!!

K all my fellow bloggers. I really want to change my page... it's getting old looking at the same brown color every day. How do you do it? I tried one, you may have noticed, but it didn't really work. I'm kind of technically challenged when it comes to this new blogging thing. I would love some info on tricks of the trade. Thanks :)

Panguich Lake and Toquerville Falls

We had a blast over the Holiday weekend. Friday and Saturday we were up at my Uncle's Cabin at Panguich Lake (I really hope that is spelled correctly) with my family. The weather was so nice. We borrowed a Polaris Ranger from one of Pat's friends and went exploring all over the place. It had a bench seat so we just strapped Brooks' car seat between us and off we went. I took some really cool pictures of some flowering Cacti and other wild flowers (You can see more pictures of mine at the link to "Outdoor Portraits and Candids"). We were near this little stream taking pictures of my niece Hailey and there were all these butterflies, so I got some really good pictures.










Then Sunday Pat and I took the Polaris to Toquerville Falls. I hadn't been up there since Pat and I first start dating. Our dogs loved playing in the water. In fact Broozer was trying to attack the falls, it was pretty comical. Brooks wasn't too sure about the cool water at first, but I sat in a really shallow spot with him and let him kinda kick the water and he loved it!

Also just wanted to say Thanks to everyone for the Teething advice. The teething tablets work great, and I feel so much better giving those to him rather than a lot of tylenol since he's so young.

Teething

Okay all my veteran mommies out there. Any suggestions and tricks to get through the long battle of teething? Teething rings are a no go so far. Brooks has completely changed his habits too now. No swing to rock him to sleep, absolutely no Binky now (I think the sucking hurts) and I cannot get him to take more than an hour's rest when he takes naps in the afternoon, he use to take one long one for at least 2 1/2 hours. Any suggestions or magic tricks any of you awesome mom's out there have learned would be greatly appreciated :).

The Latest....

Pat's sista had her baby on Wednesday. We were so excited a new nephew yeah!! We don't have one of those yet, seeing as how my side of the family can only produce girls :). So we now have six nieces and one nephew. Erin had a little bit of a hard delivery and eventually ended up having a C-section. But all is well and Erin and Jack are both doing very well. Good job to mommy! Isn't he cute? And in light of the new arrival, Pat's mom went up to SLC to help with the baby for two weeks. Since she is our daycare provider I got to take another two weeks off work, like an extended maternity leave. Very cool! It came just in time too... Brooks has had caulic and we were just getting over it. We had two weeks of blissful babiness and then, yes my son at three months is now cutting teeth. I thought caulic was bad... I feel so bad for him, all he wants is to be held. But we'll get through it.. I just hope the tooth actually comes through soon so he can have some relief.
