Teething
Okay all my veteran mommies out there. Any suggestions and tricks to get through the long battle of teething? Teething rings are a no go so far. Brooks has completely changed his habits too now. No swing to rock him to sleep, absolutely no Binky now (I think the sucking hurts) and I cannot get him to take more than an hour's rest when he takes naps in the afternoon, he use to take one long one for at least 2 1/2 hours. Any suggestions or magic tricks any of you awesome mom's out there have learned would be greatly appreciated :).

Teething sucks! The only thing I really remember (it's been a while) is giving my kids a wet washcloth to suck on. That seems to have helped a little. Good luck!
I'm all about oragel and tylenol when they get really cranky! My youngest is getting some right now and he has been horrible! its definalty no fun, we just go outside a lot because he loves is outside. good luck!
Motrin/Ibuprofen are your best friends. Also there are some teething tablets (they dissolve really quickly so no choking hazards) that work pretty well. I also bought this thing that has a handle and net that you can put ice cubes or frozen fruit in and they can chew/suck on it and the fruit stay in the net so they don't choke. Good luck!! You'll have to figure out what works for you.
Welcome to the horrible world of teeting! JT has 3 or so coming in right now. Like Summer said Tylenol and Motrin are the best. He might be too young for Motrin right now though. Also the teething tablets are awesome. You pretty much just have to grit your teeth and get through the bad days. I am preparing myself for 12 month molars. I have heard great stories about those. :) By the way he is so stinkin cute.
I know, those days were so fun! I couldn't believe there was NO water!! It's so fun up there when there is. I need to see Brooks!! We should plan something:)
I want to see brooks so bad! I'm 15 weeks along, due Christmas day! Brady refuses to talk about names until we find out what it is (in 3 weeks) but I've got a few up my sleeve;) Are you working right now?
I used almost the same as Summer! Loved those teething tablets (I think I bought em at Target) and the little net thing was a HUGE help!I would put frozen fruits in it and my kids LOVED it! Good Luck!
Yuck! Poor little guy...knock him out with some tylenol...that will help. You can also buy teething tablets, although I didn't think they were that effective with Lil'...every kid is different though. GOOD LUCK!
