Recent pictures

Brooks is such a character lately. He is getting to be such a big guy.He has definitely nailed that toddler independent attitude. Oh the things you only know when you become a mom. How a little person can frustrate you to the verge of insanity and in an instant melt your heart with a smile, a funny antic or an unexpected hug and kiss...

This is how he has been sleeping lately. With all his stuffed animals surrounding him.

A day at the park...

This was the coolest park I had ever seen. I think it's on like 7800 South and just up from Redwood Rd. They had all these really cool castle like structures for all the kids to climb in and through, they even had a toddler section with swings and those spring horses. We had a great time.

The boys on the swings... they weren't as enthused as I thought they would be.

It started to rain so we took cover under one of the playground buildings. While we were under there Brooks and Jack found a older woman to pimp (according to their dad's). She was actually really cute and really liked playing with the boys.

My life lately

Things to Scream about...

Brooks having major meltdowns lately at bed time. We were finally getting into a rhythm in the new place and now all of the sudden, Major drama at night, last night record two hours before he finally fell asleep!!!

Our renter's Bishop telling her that he owns about 40 rentals and that what she is paying us for rent is highway robbery when Pat is out of work and we are scrapping by every month!! The rent we are getting doesn't even make the mortgage payment. We can't all own 40 rentals and afford to lower our rent... must be nice though.

Things to cry about...

The sadness of post breast feeding boobs ;)

Trying on pre-baby bras and swim suits with post breast feeding boobs... ha ha, sigh... sniff

Being torn between happiness of no more breast pads and bra's with snaps on them, vs. sadness that B and I don't get that "just us" time anymore. And... wondering... do I really want to start over with another baby?, vs. I would like our kids close in age....

Things to laugh about...

Pat meaning to text "Wholy Cow !!" (yes he tried spelling it with a "w") and it coming across as "Winky Dou !!"

Reading an Admit note on a Phych chart... the patient's reason for admission "My husband is driving me crazy!" I about died with laughter :D

Watching B walk through the house totally oblivious to us... walking slow and then speeding up to that hilarious toddler trot and then slowing back down... back and forth, back and forth... while making a vvrrrooomm noise every time he speeds up.

So far we are really liking Sandy. We miss all our family down in So. Utah and are seriously cramped in our apartment. We want to buy a house or a town home so bad we can taste it... stupid economy... grumble grumble.

On that note. We are trying to sell our duplex in Hurricane. We haven't even had anyone interested yet (it's been listed for about 6 months). We are just listing it for what we bought it for, not trying to make a killing or anything... hopefully able to get the money invested, out. If anyone is interested or maybe knows someone who may be like a multi million dollar real estate investor who can purchase real estate in this crappy economy... please let us know :)

Tracks and Rainy weather

We took B on Tracks last weekend. He thought it was pretty cool to not be in a car seat while we were going some where. We thought he might like it so we just went for a quick ride. He really had fun. He just took turns pointing out each window ohhing and saying Bye Bye to all the people getting off and on. We have lost our memory card so my internal camera only had room for a few pictures. Only one was not too blurry :)

We LOVE this rainy weather!! Summer storms are so pretty, and it has been so nice to have cooler weather. I was not looking forward to really hot summer heat yet. This is a picture from our balcony. It was the brightest rainbow I had ever seen.

12 month pictures cont....

We got our prints today and the CD. Here are just a few of Brooks' twelve month pictures.

A visit to Gardiner's Village.

We went to Gardiner's Village last weekend with Kyle, Erin, Mary and Jack in hopes of visiting the petting zoo. Well, they didn't have it open yet due to the weather we were having a few weeks ago. But we all still had a great time walking around and visiting the shops. I am loving that Jack and Brooks are now getting to the stage where they are the same size. They are so much fun! Now that Jack is walking we are all going to have our hands full :)

The face...

This is Brooks new face he is making lately. It's so funny. He does this for everything now... food is hot and need to blow on it (with an oooo sound)... see something cool (pointing and oooo sound). It cracks us up. Of course once we start laughing then it's all about being funny :)
