The big kid

Brooks is such a big kid lately. I can't believe we only have two more months until he is a year old. It just keeps getting better and better though. He is such a good kid, he really has been good at entertaining himself more lately. Usually I blog when he is taking his nap... but today he is happily banging on the sliding glass door and investigating the hamper. He is such a ham. It's funny the things kids do to make you laugh. I swear he knows that he'll get a laugh out of us too when he does most of the stuff he's been up to lately. For example... he's learned to play peek a boo. We took a trip up to SLC this last weekend to visit Pat's sister. On the way home he was playing peek a bood with my scarf.

Brooks had so much fun with his cousin Jack while we were visiting. Erin and I bought them matching sweaters... aren't they cute? We are all so excited for them to get a little older and be able to play with each other more. For the most part they just stare at each other now. Other then the few times that Brooks let out his high pitched scream and it would make Jack cry.

We went to the car show and had a great time just haning out with Erin, Kyle and Jack. Brooks slept almost the whole way up there. The trip back we weren't as fortunate, but he was still pretty good for the majority of the drive. The last hour he screamed till we got home.... but four hours is a long time to be stuck in your car seat.

Isn't it great how the simplest things kids do can make you laugh? I love it!

Rob wanted to go to the car show. My being the supportive wife I am said "you can go as long as I don't have to." So he didn't go. :( I'm such a bad wife. It would have been funny if we had run into you there!!

I can't believe Brooks is going to be one so soon! Don't you love the different stages they go through? Motherhood just gets better and better as the days go on!

He is so fun! I love all the little milestones! The parent experience is the best! BTW, what's the update on possibly coming up here? ;)
